Tianeptine, or S-1574, JNJ-39823277 or TPI-1062 is a novel chemical recognized to be an atypical anti-depressant. It is often associated with Tricyclic Anti-Depressants, but its chemical structure differs from more common molecules of this class.

It has been found to act as an atypical agonist of the μ-opioid receptor with minor effects on the δ- and κ-opioid receptors.
