A simple yet deadly plastic tube fly. The fluorescent tubed Executioner Sunray is fished 'on the swing' while water temperatures remain cold and slowly retrieve. This pattern is famed for its regular ability to produce fish on the most dogged of days. The plastic tube can be skipped across the top of the streams or can be rolly polled or stripped and fished down and across. It is one of those patterns that you might see the Salmon/Grilse leaving the water looking like it has erupted and even sometimes the fly is not even touched.
